Police in Ramgarh have confiscated approximately 490 kg of ganja worth Rs 2 crore from a truck traveling from Ranchi to Hazaribagh. The truck, bearing a Uttar Pradesh registration number, was intercepted near the Kuju police post late Tuesday night. Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar informed that the driver, Tulsi Yadav, 55, was arrested during the operation.
The police, acting on a tip-off, conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and discovered the narcotic substance. The seizure is part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region. SP Ajay Kumar said, "The truck was carrying a large consignment of ganja which we intercepted and confiscated successfully."
